For the third consecutive year, Pretty Women Pray Not Prey is proud to host our Life Skills & Literacy Summer Camp for girls in grades 3rd - 8th. Our unique program is designed to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where young girls can learn, grow, and discover their potential.

Our mission is to intentionally invest in minority youth (specifically young ladies) by providing meaningful enrichment opportunities that foster confidence, leadership, literacy, and personal development. While funding for community programs can be limited, we remain committed to keeping camp costs affordable and accessible so that more girls can benefit from this life- changing experience.

Throughout our two week program, participants will engage in hands-on learning, interactive workshops, and creative activities designed to equip them with practical skills they can use for years to come. The camp will culminate in a Celebration Gala, where campers will showcase their growth and accomplishments while celebrating their journey with family and friends.

Program Components

Life Skills Workshops- Campers will participate in engaging workshops that focus on practical skills for everyday success, including communication, decision making, goal setting, healthy relationships, personal responsibility, and confidence building.

Literacy Enrichment- Through interactive reading, writing, and literacy based activities, campers will strengthen comprehension, critical thinking, vocabulary, and self- expression while developing a lifelong appreciation for learning.

Leadership Development- Girls will learn the importance of self- awareness, self- advocacy, and positive leadership. Activities are designed to help participants build confidence, speak up for themselves, make informed decisions, and recognize the value of their voice.

Creative Expression- Campers will explore their creativity through dance, performing arts, movement and other artistic experiences that encourage self- expression, collaboration, and personal growth.

Together these experiences create a well-rounded program that nurtures the mind, builds character, and empowers girls to thrive both in and outside of the classroom.
